Comprehensive eye exams with dilation, if necessary; includes evaluation for cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, allergic, diabetic and dry-eye disease, conjunctivitis, red eye and similar medical conditions, as well as refractive findings.
We supply prescription eyeglasses for driving, computers, sports, skiing, reading, crafts, hunting, boating, school classroom and study.
Lenses are available in many varieties of plastic or glass. Bifocals, progressives (invisible bifocals), trifocals, polycarbonates, tough and thin featherweights, transitions, photograys, anti-glare, safety, polarized, tints, coatings and soft contact lenses.
Frame costs are moderate with some economy and/or designers.
We prescribe and individually fit soft contact lenses for distance and near sight as well as astigmatism. We supply most brands of contact lenses including Ciba Night and Day, the new Optix for continuous wear, Bausch and Lomb, Soflens66, Coopervision, Ocular Sciences, Vistakon Acuvue and Sunsoft.
Children's vision is Dr. Herrle's sub-specialty. He has trained extensively in Pediatric Optometry. He also has a Master of Education in Reading degree from the University of Hartford.
We provide insurance coverage for the following: Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Anthem Vision, Vision Service Plan, Connecticare, Healthnet, Connecticut Health Plan, Vision Care Plan, Medicare, Medicaid, Community Health Network-Husky Plan, Physician Health Network-Husky Plan, Aetna, VBA, First Health, Physician Health Network and several others. Both offices have convenient parking. Office hours are 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. four days a week and 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturdays. We have phone coverage on off hours.
Dr. Herrle received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry and master's degrees from Columbia University and the University of Hartford. He is a recipient of the American Optometric Association Recognition Award.
